Until Every Barrier Falls
Until Every Barrier Falls is a powerful exploration of what it means to live at the intersection of disability and blackness during the George Floyd uprisings of 2020. When LeDerick Horne, my longtime collaborator and friend, came to me with this poem and said, “I want to turn this into a film,” I leapt at the chance. Together, we planned out the locations, shots, schedule, and COVID safety protocols required to shoot a short film in Washington, DC during a pivotal moment in American history.
